LifeMaxxing respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is adapted from the Notfit privacy structure for a location-based social product.

1. Information we collect

Account details: name/display name, username, email, auth provider identifiers (Apple, Google, email), optional bio, location label, avatar.
Experience content: activity type, place or map pin, date/time, optional notes, ratings, tags, media, and visibility settings.
Location data: coordinates you attach when logging an experience or setting a home zone; map viewport queries while you use map features.
Usage & device data: app interactions, approximate device type / OS, push token, crash/diagnostic data, IP address as processed by our infrastructure.
Safety data: reports, blocks, mutes, and related moderation metadata.

2. How we use your information

To provide and improve the app (feed, profile, map, search, places).
To show your experiences to people allowed by your visibility settings.
To send transactional notices (e.g. follows, likes, comments) if enabled.
To keep the platform secure, enforce rate limits, and prevent abuse.
To comply with law and store review requirements.

3. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited data with:

Service providers (hosting, auth, maps/places, media storage, analytics, crash reporting, push delivery).
Legal authorities if required by law.
Other users, when you choose public or followers visibility, or when you interact (follow, like, comment).

4. Location privacy

Private experiences are protected with server-side access controls (row-level security).
Exact coordinates for non-author viewers are not exposed on normal feed surfaces; display/fuzzed coordinates may be used instead.
Photos are stripped of EXIF/GPS metadata on upload where supported.
Your home zone is treated as sensitive and is not shown to other users as a public profile field.

5. Data storage and security

Data is stored with reputable cloud providers and encrypted in transit.
We take steps to protect against loss, misuse, or unauthorized access.
You are responsible for keeping your login details safe.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access the data we hold about you.
Request corrections or deletion.
Export your data from Settings (where available).
Opt out of non-essential marketing communications.
Withdraw consent for optional data uses (e.g. precise location).

7. Cookies and tracking

The marketing site may use cookies or similar tools for performance and analytics. The mobile app may use analytics and crash tools. You can limit tracking in your device settings where available.

8. Third-party links

The app may deep-link to maps or other sites for directions. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

9. Children’s privacy

LifeMaxxing is not designed for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app grows. If we make major changes, we will notify users in-app or by email where appropriate.
